Thanks to my son, Michael, for help with this website. Thanks to Nancy Teepen for suggesting this month as a time for hibernating and rest while God continues to move. I had been blocked from pursuing my 2025 goals, even daily goal of swimming because the pool water was freezing! Nancy texted and suggested an impromptu lunch at Panera. Within an hour, I was sipping soup in my sweats and adjusted my attitude with Nancy’s wisdom.
Today I read my Bible and journaled, counting my blessings in January: birthday dinner with Madelyn, overnight with Junie and Noah, day trip with Andrew, trivia night with Ben and Emily, time with Jody and Denise at Betty’s house, delivering Ginny-made scarves to Maggie Jo and Molly Jo, cleansing closets for Women of Alabaster, running into Charlotte Wiggins at Walmart, selling copies of “Revelation Revisited” for a men’s Bible study, officiating a funeral for a saint from our former church, and lots of quality time with hubby Darrell. A wonderful January after I stopped to count my blessings instead of driving so hard to reach my long-term goals. The snow is melting, and February starts with lunch with Evan. Three interviews for my current writing project will be scheduled via phone. And patience is needed for the rest. Surely God is with me!
